Gah! Thanksgiving is only a week away. These days have been flying by so fast which always makes it hard to sit down and enjoy the holidays with your friends or family. This is why we wanted to make a Thanksgiving printable for you, because maybe in all the hecticness it will force you to slow down and really think about the things that you’re thankful for.

Since I just bought my first house, I wanted to host Thanksgiving this year which is equally exciting and terrifying. I come from a family that throws epic parties so the planning and having people over doesn’t stress me out, but this will be the first time I’ve cooked more than mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner and that’s a lot of pressure! Especially up against my mom’s amazing feasts. So needless to say, I knew that I would need something to force me to sit down and actually think about the people I’m eating with and why we’re getting together amidst all of my cooking stress.

These printables, which are meant to be placed at each setting at the table, aren’t on the wall for people to read or on display, so your guests can participate only if they want to. I tend to think this approach is a little better anyway because (the introvert that I am) I always hate it when we have to do that round table thing. Everyone’s getting all sentimental and I’m usually the one that says that I’m thankful for the good food because I don’t like getting mushy in front of people. But with this small print, I can write down exactly what I’m feeling without having the big commotion that goes with it. It’s an introvert’s dream!

So long story short, here is a printable that simply reads, “What I’m thankful for…” and your guests can write on it as they please. I like to put it underneath the knife and spoon just so people see it but it doesn’t scream out at them or mess up your perfectly styled table. Also, if you love those plaster leaves and the place cards, that tutorial is here. Is anyone else hosting thanksgiving or friendsgiving this year? Are you as stressed out as I am?!
