It’s Friday, and man is it hot down here in socal! So today, we thought we’d share something fun so we can both start our weekends a little early!
Every month we have events called Department Hosted Events to add a little variety to our everyday work lives and to get a chance to mingle with coworkers from other departments. Each department gets their chance at hosting an event, and it just so happened that Marketing was chosen at random to do the August event! So we went to town with this idea of a Carnival of Fun!
Our goal, with this event, was to give everyone a break from their busy day to just relax and have fun. We set up four different “stations” in the warehouse where everyone could visit and hang out and just briefly forget about their work stress.
We started with the food table which was equipped with a cereal bar, fresh fruit, raspberry lemonade, fresh popcorn, and goldfish that everyone could take home. Who doesn’t like a cereal bar, right?! But my favorite part was probably the balloons. I mean, cow balloons?! How can you get much better than that?
Then we moved onto the activities that people could do while they attended our carnival of fun. We started with a lounge area for those people that just wanted to sit and hang out (man, it was HOT in the warehouse on Tuesday!), but we also had corn hole set up and a photobooth open for people to take pictures.
And just so you can see, this is what people got when they were finished with the photobooth! Pure magic, that’s what that is!
To say that everyone had a blast is probably an understatement! Our coworkers enjoyed their brief moment of work freedom in the middle of the day and we had fun facilitating all of the memories that were made. And let’s not forget our resident vendor which we Instagramed about on Tuesday! Oscar proudly agreed to serve everyone popsicles in his fancy outfit and he was probably the hit of the whole carnival.
Are you doing anything fun this weekend? Maybe you’re going to the LA County Fair for some fun carnival experiences of your own?
