Today we’re taking a different kind-of approach to pillow decorating, but before we get to that, if you missed the last four posts make sure to check them all out here: black and white, bright and colorful, flowers and succulents, coastal.

I’m curious to see if you guys can guess our theme today! There’s a lot of pink, so that might clue you in a lot…Any guesses?

Well, if you guessed a tween girls room then you guessed right! If there is one style that we (meaning all the girls) wish we could decorate our houses with, it would be a girls room with ALL of these photos. This is by-far our most beloved collection of photos, and it is one that leaves us giddy whenever we look at it.

So when we started pulling together this collection of photos, we wanted to keep two things in mind: a consistent color palette and fun object photos. While girls already love to take photos with their friends, I don’t think they appreciate those printed photo as much as one of their favorite toys or beloved pets.

For the color palette, we stuck with pink as the primary color (seen here in different shades) and teal as the secondary color. All of the other colors represented are just accent colors. As for the subject matter of the photos, we chose the things that little girls would love: their pink shoes, a tasty mug of hot coco in their favorite flamingo cup, pink tulle, and even a fun photo of their dog’s bum (because who doesn’t think that photo is cute?!). All of these photos speak to something a tween girl would love, and when you’re able to fill her space with sentimental items like these, it makes her appreciate the space even more. Of course your daughter/niece/granddaughter might have different items that she loves, but a lot of these photos would be easy to recreate with a solid colorful backdrop and some good lighting.

So what do you think? Do you like this theme as much as we do? If not, which one was your favorite? I’d love to know in the comments below, and if you have any suggestions for more themes, I’d love to hear them! We might have to do another Pillow Panache mini-series if I get enough requests!
